P.C.A. - Post Construction Assessment

The European Directive 2013/53/EU defines the certification obligation for the recreational crafts (boats, ships and watercrafts) in the following circumstances:

• Self-made crafts to be placed on the market within 5 years since the placing in service.
• Used crafts coming from outside the European Union, and placed on the Union market as second-hand units after the 16/06/1998;
• Modified units (essential technical changes) and placed again in service;
• Units coming from other registers (weighing, traffic, own use, etc.);
• Special or sperimental units placed on the market as recreational crafts;

New construction units imported from outside the European Union and not CE marked, which are placed on the Union market for the first time or are already in service.

ANCCP Certification Agency provides the P.C.A. Certification service through the conformity assessment of the technical data and available documents according to the requirements of Directive 2013/53/CE.

After the certification process, the applicant will be able to issue a Declaration of Conformity and affix on the craft a label including:

• the CE Marking;
• the CIN (Craft Identification Number).

The label confirms the positive outcome of the certification process.

The owners of recreational crafts that are in a situation as it follows:

• Self-made crafts to be placed on the market within 5 years since the placing in service.
• Used crafts coming from outside the European Union, and placed on the Union market as second-hand units after the 16/06/1998;
• Modified units (essential technical changes) and placed again in service;
• Units coming from other registers (weighing, traffic, own use, etc.);
• Special or sperimental units placed on the market as recreational crafts;

New construction units imported from outside the European Union and not CE marked which are placed on the Union market for the first time or are already in service.
