Directive 2014/29/EU

The European Standard

Directive 2014/29/EU of the European Parliament and of the European Council of 26 February 2014 establishes the rules and methods to be followed in order to certify simple pressure equipment.

Simple pressure vessels are composed of a planking and two welded ends, manufactured in series and intended to exclusively contain  air or nitrogen at a pressure higher than 0.5 bar but not higher than 30 bar, and with a temperature not lower than -50° and not higher than 300°C. In addition, the product of pressure (in bar) and the capacity (in litres) shall not be higher than 10,000.

Even the equipment not adequate to standard ADR can be verified and eventually get the product certificate if they are subject to the “re-assessment”.

ANCCP Service

Through the Notified Body CEC – Consorzio Europeo Certificazioni (n° 1131) of which it is also a founding member, ANCCP Certification Agency issues certificates for pressure equipment according to the following Annexes:

Annex II * Module B
Annex II – Module C
Annex II – Module C1
Annex II – Module C2

Interested parties

The Manufacturers of simple pressure equipment that, thanks to those certification activities, can certify that their own product meets the essential requirements specified in the Directive and can be placed on the European Union’s market.
