The Standard
UNI 11926 governs auxiliary security services that are not regulated by mandatory standards, identifying the activities suitable for ensuring the usability and protection of an organization’s tangible and intangible assets, for the benefit of users, workers, and other stakeholders.
Among the main services included are:
- Concierge/Porter services
- Area monitoring
- Flow management (entry and exit of people, vehicles, etc.)
- Information services
- Access control (e.g., to prevent unauthorized intrusions)
- Reception and assistance
The standard also defines the essential requirements that business organizations providing these services must meet and establishes objective methodological criteria to ensure their proper and effective delivery.
The development of the standard stems from the experience gained through the application of UNI/PdR 54:2019 “Private security – Mapping of activities of security operators (complementary/subsidiary security), auxiliary security, control/stewarding services, and investigations,” which provided an initial reference framework for the sector.
