class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Regulation (EU) 2016\/425 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9<sup>th<\/sup> March 2016 covers the procedures for the certification of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).<\/p>\n<p>PPE is defined as:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEquipment designed and manufactured to be worn or held by a person for protection against one or more risks to that person&#8217;s health or safety;<\/p>\n<p>Based on the risk level against which it protects, PPE is classified in:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Category I PPE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PPE intended to protect against the minimal risks that can cause minor injuries: the procedure laid down to Annex IV (Module A) \u201cInternal check on Production\u201d applies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Category II PPE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PPE intended to protect against non-minor injuries, but with no serious or mortal consequences: the certification by a Notified Body is necessary and the procedure laid down to annex V (Module B) \u201cEU-Type Examination\u201d applies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Category III PPE <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PPE intended to protect against risk of death or permanent serious injuries: the certification by a Notified Body is necessary and the procedure laid down to annex V (Module B) \u201cEU-Type Examination\u201d applies.<\/p>\n<p>On category III PPE, one of the following regular monitoring procedures chosen by the manufacture applies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cConformity to type based on internal production control plus supervised product checks at random intervals\u201d (Annex VII (Module C2);<\/li>\n<li>\u201cConformity to type based on quality assurance of the production process\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"toggle-links align_none\"><button type=\"button\" vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><h3 class=\"w-text\"><span class=\"w-text-h\"><span class=\"w-text-value\">ANCCP Service<\/span><\/span><\/h3><div class=\"wpb_text_column with_collapsible_content\" data-content-height=\"200px\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>ANCCP Certification Agency is a body, who is notified to European Union <strong>(n\u00b00302<\/strong>) for granting the Category II and III <strong>PPE EU-Type Conformity Certificates<\/strong> according to the following procedures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Annex V (Module B);<\/li>\n<li>Annex VII (Module C2);<\/li>\n<li>Annex VIII (Module D)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Macro areas for which ANCCP grants certificates are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>eyes protection;<\/li>\n<li>lower limbs protection (legs, feet);<\/li>\n<li>upper limbs protection (arms, hands);<\/li>\n<li>general body protection;<\/li>\n<li>protection against fall from a height;<\/li>\n<li>protection against radioactive contamination;<\/li>\n<li>Protectors for motorcyclists (head excluded)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ANCCP Certification Agency carries out also certification activities for industrial laundries for the conformity assessment of the control process of High visibility PPE after washing, according to the requirements 4.1, 5.1 and 6.1 of standard EN ISO 20471:2013\/A1:2016.
